1.) What do I get for my £4.95?
We notify every registered Vet, Animal Shelter, Police Station, Local Authority and Trackacat spotters (to become a spotter click here and go to the bottom of the page) within 25miles of your pets last location.

We publish ALL lost pets details on our Facebook and Twitter pages for national coverage.
In addition, we upload your pets details to the 'Lost Pets' search results on our website which the synchronises with our multi-platform Application for maximum exposure. (app coming soon)

2.) Can we search a wider area than 25 miles?
For the moment there is only the option to search within 25 miles of your pets last location or post-code. We do have plans to extend the search radius but for now, 25 miles is the maximum.

3.) Do I have to offer a reward for the safe return of my pet?
No, you don't have to offer a reward but if you do there will be more of an incentive for the Trackacat community to look for your pet.

4.) Can you guarantee the safe return of my pet?
Unfortunately not, we cannot guarantee the safe return of your pet although using Trackacat will give you the best opportunity to be reunited with your pet.

5.) I think I may have seen a pet listed on Trackacat - what should I do?
If you think you have spotted a lost pet please report the sighting to the pets owner. The link is located at the bottom of the lost pets profile in the search results.

All sightings, no matter how insignificant you may think they are, will be very important to the lost pets owner. This may help build up a timeline of the lost pets whereabouts too.

6.) I think I may have found a lost pet - what should I do?
If you think you may have found a pet that is lost, please first look through the 'lost pets' search results in your area to see if the pet is listed as lost. If the pet isn't listed please add the pets details along with your contact information to our database with as many pictures of the animal as possible - this is FREE.

We can only advise what to do concerning the Trackacat process. It is your decision whether to take care of the animal in the hope the owner will come forward or to take the pet to an animal shelter or other relevant place.

Always ask your neighbours first if they recognise the animal before taking the pet to a shelter - it may be theirs!

7.) Is it safe to pay online?
We use PayPal to accept payments. PayPal are internationally recognised as one of the world's safest ways to pay online. To see PayPal's payment protection policy click here.

Trackacat has plans afoot to expand payment options to include uKash which allow you to buy a voucher with cash at any PayPoint or PayZone retailer, perfect for those who do not want to enter card details online.

8.) What is the payment process to list a lost pet or obtain contact details of a found pet?
Once you have been through the first and second step, entering your lost pets details and your contact information you reach step three. Similarly once you have completed step one to obtain details of a found pet your reach step two.

In both of these steps you have the option to use a PayPal account to pay the fee or a credit or debit card. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay your fee but you will pay through PayPal's website. This is because they handle all our payments and appear to us the same no matter which method you choose.

9.) How do I 'like' Trackacat on Facebook or follow you on Twitter?
Click the Facebook Box on our home page to be taken to our profile where you can 'like' us. For Twitter search @Trackacat or click this link: http://twitter.com/#!/Trackacat.

10.) I've heard people talk about microchipping their pets - what is a microchip?
Microchipping is a revolutionary way to identify your pet. A small chip is placed in the back of your pets neck. If the pet is ever lost and is taken to anyone with a microchip scanner (vets or animal shelters), they can view the pets owners contact details! Speak to your vet today about getting your pet microchipped.

11.) Why do I have do agree to your Disclaimer and Terms of Use policy?
Our Disclaimer sets out what is expected of Trackacat and covers us legally against any discrepancies that might arise. Similarly, our Terms of Use policy sets out what is expected of you when using our site.

12.) What do you do with my contact details?
Nothing! No matter if you have listed a lost pet, reported a sighting of a lost pet or have added a found pet - we do nothing with your details. The only reason we take them is to pass them onto the relevant pet owners in case their pet is found.

If you opt in to be a Trackacat spotter we take your name, email address and post-code. Again though this is only to notify you when a lost pet is added within 25 miles of your location.

13.) I would like to place an advert on your Trackacat.com - how do I do this?

Unfortunately we do not display advertisements on our website. However, we do display them on our business directory (coming soon). Please get in touch if you are interested. Note, you must be within the pet industry for us to display an advert.

14.) I have a question that isn't listed here.

We welcome any questions, comments or ideas from the Trackacat community. Please email us at: hello@trackacat.com We aim to get back to you within 24 hours.
